The Challenges.

L’AGENCE had been working on growing their DTC presence and sales but hadn’t seen the breakaway growth they desired. Prior to Giant Propeller they were working with several other siloed agencies (multiple agencies with specific specialities) who were producing subpar results.

After completing our initial audit, we immediately saw where money was
being left on the table and how to turn it into profit:

01.  We noticed that L’AGENCE lacked proper strategy and management across Facebook Business Manager / Instagram (Meta) in general but especially after the iOS 14 update.

02.  We identified the immediate need for L’AGENCE to activate Dynamic Search Ads – in order to reach their goal it was trivial they started using Google Placements.

03.  We saw the opportunity for L’AGENCE to rethink their focus on Ad Spend placement – they had a timid approach rather than using it to maximize revenue opportunities
04.  Although L’AGENCE had been launching new Facebook creative on a weekly basis, they would shut ads down from the previous week even if they were performing well. We knew that this was a huge miss on their previous agency’s social strategy.

Even though our partnership started almost half-way through the fiscal year, we were confident we would be able to hit the L’AGENCE eComm revenue goal and deliver their best year in online sales. To do this, our focus quickly became: (1) proving the success of our holistic marketing strategy with data-driven tactics and results and (2) setting an aggressive sales target to gain rapid growth and get L’AGENCE KPIs back on track.

Solution.

With our audit process complete and our custom Growth Plan Playbook developed, we immediately optimized multiple marketing channels to move the needle with our core focus around Paid Media, Email Marketing and Lifecycle Strategy.

01.  We adjusted the lifecycle of successful creative ads, keeping them evergreen until the season ended or the ad showed a decline in performance.
02.  We dissected the data from the L’AGENCE ad library and found which ads were truly winning creatives. We then used those as a template for iterating and introducing new models to the mix.
03.  We saw the opportunity for L’AGENCE to rethink their focus on Ad Spend placement – they had a timid approach rather than using it to maximize revenue opportunities
04.  After the iOS14 update we knew it was pivotal we rebuild L’AGENCE’s Facebook campaigns from the ground up and adjusted their SEM strategy with detailed keyword allocation and bidding strategies.

Lifecycle & Email Marketing
Action items.

01.  Adding rich storytelling, A/B testing, and proper segmentation would change the way L’AGENCE subscribers interacted with their emails.
02.  Implementing new creative guidelines for L’AGENCE email templates and lifestyle images would give their email campaign a breath of much needed fresh air

Results.

We started seeing immediate success after implementing these changes. Within 4 months L’AGENCE were experiencing a 200% increase in sales.
But we didn’t take our foot off the gas – we knew there was still far more market share to capture.

Our reworked email strategy helped achieve a 66% increase in click rate which lifted them above the industry standard benchmark. This click rate further helped increase their customer retention rate, increasing their Shopify order value by 383% in flows and 210% in campaigns.

With our Paid and Email strategies working hand-in-hand, L’AGENCE witnessed a 200% increase in click rates for Paid, helping gain 26,000 new Email subscribers with 124% higher revenue per recipient. They also experienced a higher repeat customer rate, resulting in a 20% AOV increase across the board within the first 10 months of engagement.

Continuing To Optimize.

Because Paid Media is ever-changing with new trends, algorithm adjustments, and routine platform updates, we knew there would be value in introducing L’Agence to new digital channels. Our deep understanding of the L’AGENCE brand and target audience gave us the information we needed to launch our aggressive marketing efforts.

01.  Introducing L’AGENCE to Pinterest using creative strategy true to the brand helped us take advantage of the platform. Utilizing Dynamic and creative ads as well as implementing platform best practices gave us immediate success, while maintaining a 9X+ ROAS.
02.  Establishing a presence on TikTok, with tailored content for the platform that continued to resonate with the L’AGENCE customer base, which resulted in immensely cheap CPC’s.

03.  Facebook’s self-optimizing ad feature encouraged us to revisit L’AGENCE’s previously successful social ads. Taking what we’d learned and applying Facebook’s latest best practices helped the new channel strategy grow by 58% in ad-attributable revenue over the first 10 months.

Conclusion.

Accomplishing L’AGENCE’s aggressive 2021 revenue goals would not have been possible without our Brand Growth Program. Our unique approach to marketing allowed us to join the company not only as a true partner, but as an extension of their marketing department.
